CompeteCue Health data

Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy

Last updated: 25 October 2026

This policy is for people whose state has a consumer health data law, such as Washington's My Health My Data Act. CompeteCue is run by Kourosh Sadr Momtaz, a sole trader in the United Kingdom ("we", "us"). Contact: kourosh@kourosh.design.

Health data the app uses, and where it stays

Categories: medical conditions and medications you record; your weight, height, date of birth, sex and activity level; allergies and dietary needs; and, if you allow it, workouts and sleep from Apple Health and, after a separate opt-in, your logged period dates and flow.

Sources: you, and Apple Health with your permission.

Purpose: to build your race preparation plan on your phone, and to hold back guidance that could interact with a condition or medication you have recorded.

All of this is stored and used only on your phone. It is not sent to us or to anyone else, and we cannot see it.

Data we receive that could be treated as health data

CompeteCue is a fitness app, so some laws may treat the technical data we do receive as showing that you use a service connected with your health.

Categories: crash diagnostics (device model, operating system, language and region, and a rough area worked out from your IP address); IP addresses in our server's logs; a random identifier sent with the app's update check; the address and page requested when you visit this website; and any email you send us.

Sources: your device, when the app runs, and you, when you write to us.

Purpose: to deliver the app and its updates, to find and fix faults, and to answer you.

Sharing

We do not sell consumer health data and we do not share it with third parties. The data in the previous section is handled for us, under contract, by service providers in these categories: crash reporting (Sentry), app updates (Expo), server hosting (Railway), website hosting (Vercel) and email hosting (Microsoft). We have no affiliates.

Your rights

You can ask us to confirm whether we collect or share your consumer health data, to give you a copy of it, or to delete it, and you can withdraw any consent you have given. Data on your phone is already in your hands: removing the app deletes it, Apple Health access is withdrawn in the Health app's sharing settings, and cycle data is switched off in the app. For anything we hold, email us at the address above. We will respond within 45 days. If we refuse your request, reply to say you are appealing and we will review the decision and tell you the outcome; if you are still unhappy, you can contact your state's Attorney General.
